World Green Roof Infrastructure Network Green roof infrastructure can make important contributions to sustainable living, especially in urban environments. Green roof infrastructure can provide many benefits, including, but not limited to:
- Protecting local watersheds through stormwater management
- Reducing the urban heat island effect
- Promotingbiodiversity within built up areas
- Improving air quality by trapping and removing particulate matter
- Increasing the local agricultural capacity of built up areas
- Reducing the energy requirements of a building's environmental systems
- Increasing the life of a building's roofing membrane
- Making urban spaces more beautiful and inviting for humans that live in them
On September 14th, 2005, in Basel Switzerland, the following mission objectives were ratified for the World Green Roof Infrastructure Network: Mission Statement To promote the development of green roof infrastructure research, policy development and implementation in countries throughout the world through international co-operation.
Objectives
1. Support the formation of national green roof industry associations in emerging markets.
2. Facilitate the exchange of detached and independent technical, scientific, social and economic information among researchers, policy makers, designers, and manufacturers.
3. Advocate for supportive green roof policies and investments by international organizations such as the World Bank, United Nations Environmental Programme etc.
4. Support the activities of existing nation green roof associations in lobbying, policies and training with a focus on promoting excellence through best practices and through the cross promotion of events.

Réseau International pour la Végétalisation des Toitures Les toitures végétalisées peuvent apporter une large contribution à l'établissement d'un mode de vie durable, particulièrement en milieu urbain. Parmi les nombreux bénéfices apportés par les toitures végétalisées, citons : - La protection des ressources hydriques locales au travers d'une meilleure gestion des eaux d'orage
- La réduction de l'effet d'îlot thermique urbain
- La promotion de la biodiversité dans les environnements bâtis
- L'amélioration de la qualité de l'air par le piégeage et la fixation de poussières et particules polluantes
- Le développement de la capacité de production agricole en zone urbaine
- La réduction des besoins énergétiques d'un bâtiment
- L'augmentation de la durée de vie de la membrane d'étanchéité du bâtiment
- L'embellissement du cadre de vie urbain
Le 14 septembre 2005, la lettre de mission suivante à été adoptée pour le Réseau International pour la Végétalisation des Toitures :
Lettre de mission :
Encourager le développement de programmes de recherche sur les toitures végétalisées, le développement des réglementationset l'adoption de la technique dans le monde entier, grâce à une collaboration internationale.
Objectifs :
1) Soutenir la création d'associations spécialisées de végétalisation de toitures dans les pays aux marchés émergents.
2) Faciliter l'échange de données indépendantes, aux plans technique, scientifique, social et économique entre les chercheurs, les décideurs politiques, les concepteurs et les fabricants.
3) Soutenir la mise en place de mesures incitatives pour la végétalisation des toitures et de programmes d'investissement par des organismes mondiaux tels que la Banque Mondiale, le Programme pour l'Environnement de l'Organisation des Nations Unies, etc.
4) Appuyer, par une promotion croisée, les démarches de lobbying, de réglementation, de formation et d'amélioration technique des associations nationales de végétalisation de toitures, qui auront pour objectif principal l'excellence, obtenue par la mise en ouvre de techniques éprouvées.



Declaración/Manifestación Fomento de la investigación a nivel mundial de cubiertas verdes, el desarrollo de procesos de aplicación y su puesta en práctica por una cooperación internacional.
Las metas son:
1. La ayuda en la formación de Asociaciones industriales dentro del desarrollo de los mercados de cubiertas verdes.
2. Ofrecer facilidades en el intercambio de informaciones y experiencias técnicas, científicas, sociales de forma objetiva e independiente entre Científicos, Políticos, Proyectistas e Industriales.
3. La promoción de medios de apoyo y de inversión a favor de cubiertas verdes frente a organizaciones internacionales como p.e. el Banco Mundial, programas de United Nations Environment etc.
4. El apoyo de las actividades de Asociaciones nacionales ya existentes en sus trabajos de imagen, aplicación técnica y formación profesional. El acento se sitúa en la federación de trabajos sobresalientes, basadas en técnicas reconocidas y el apoyo mutuo de la publicidad de convenciones. Aufgabe des Welt Gründach Infrastruktur Netzwerkes Grüne Dächer leisten einen wichtigen Beitrag zur nachhaltigen Entwicklung, insbesondere im städtischen Umfeld. Grüne Dächer bieten zahlreiche Vorteile, dazu gehören u.a.:

• Regenwassermanagement durch Regenrückhalt und dezentrale Verdunstungsleistung.
• Verminderung der sommerlichen städtischen Aufheizung
• Förderung der Biodiversität in Siedlungsgebieten
• Verbesserung der Luftqualität durch Filterung und Bindung von Staub und Schadstoffen
• Gründächer als Vegetationsstandort in Siedlungsgebieten
• Verbesserung der Energie - und Umweltbilanz von Gebäuden
• Verlängerung der Lebensdauer der Dachabdichtung
• Höhere Lebens- und Wohnqualität für die Stadtbevölkerung

Auf der Sitzung in Basel am 14. September 2005 wurde durch Vertreter nationaler Verbände und Einzelvertreter folgende Erklärung verabschiedet:
Das Einzelinteressen übergreifende weltweite Netzwerk hat sich folgenden Aufgaben verschrieben:
- Förderung der Gründachforschung und des ökologischen Bauens
- Beratung von politischen Entscheidungsträgern
- Gegenseitige Unterstützung und Kooperation im globalen Maßstab
Ziele:

1. Unterstützung nationaler Gründungsinitiativen firmenübergreifender Gründachverbände.
2. Förderung des Gedankenaustausches zwischen Wissenschaftlern, Politikern, Verwaltungsmitarbeitern, Architekten und Herstellern.
3. Lobbyarbeit für das Ökologische Bauen weltweit. Etwa auf der Ebene internationaler Organisationen wie der UN oder der Weltbank.
4. Unterstützung der Gründachaktivitäten nationaler Nicht-Regierungs-Organisationen. Im Sinne von Fortbildungsveranstaltungen, Symoosien und der Prämierung herausragender Beispiele.

Organizzazione Mondiale delle Associazioni del Verde Pensile Il verde pensile può dare un importante contributo al benessere, specialmente negli ambienti urbani. Il verde pensile produce molti benefici, tra i quali si ricordano:

• Il controllo sul deflusso delle acque meteoriche
• Il miglioramento del microclima urbano
• La promozione della biodiversità all'interno delle aree urbanizzate
• L'aumento della qualità dell'aria
• La riduzione del fabbisogno energetico degli edifici
• L'aumento della protezione delle membrane di impermeabilizzazione e isolamento
• Il miglioramento estetico dell'ambiente urbano

Il 14 settembre 2005, a Basilea in Svizzera, i seguenti obiettivi sono stati ratificati dall'Organizzazione Mondiale delle Associazioni del Verde Pensile
Missione:
La promozione e lo sviluppo della ricerca sul verde pensile, della politica di sviluppo e dell'implementazione delle normative negli stati, attraverso la cooperazione internazionale.
Obiettivi:

1. Il supporto alla formazione di associazioni di industrie nazionali di verde pensile nei mercati emergenti.
2. Facilitare lo scambio indipendente di tecniche, scientifiche, informazioni sociali ed economiche fra i ricercatori, responsabili delle decisioni politiche, progettisti e fornitori.
3. Essere promotore per le politiche e gli investimenti sul verde pensile attraverso organizzazioni internazionali quali la banca mondiale, il programma ambientale delle Nazioni Unite, ecc.
4. Supportare le attività e le associazioni sul verde pensile esistenti nelle azioni di studio e promozione di politiche di sviluppo, con una particolare attenzione alla promozione dell'eccellenza attraverso l'impiego delle tecnologie migliori e attraverso la promozione degli eventi ad esso collegati.

Associação Mundial de Telhados Ecológicos Associação Mundial de Telhados Ecológicos pode fazer importante contribuição a sustentabilidade. A infraestrutura do Telhado Verde pode prover muitos benefícios, incluindo, mas não limitados a:

• Reduzir o volume e velocidade das aguas pluviais
• Reduzir o efeito de ilhas de calor urbano
• Promover a biodiversidade em areas construidas
• Melhorar a qualidade do ar, retendo e removendo particulas solidas
• aumentando a capacidade agricultural em areas construidas
• Reduzir a demanda de energia para sistemas ambientais dos prédios
• Aumentar a vida útil das membranas impermeabilizadoras dos prédios
• Tornar os espaços urbanos mais bonitos e convidativos para as pessoas que habitam

Em 14 de maio de 2005 na Basel, Suíça, foram ratificados pela Associação Mundial de de Telhados Verdes os seguintes objetivos:
Promover o desenvolvimento da pesquisa ,política de desenvolvimento, e implementação de telhados ecológicos em paises de todo o mundo através da cooperação internacional.
Objetivos

1. Auxiliar a formação de associações da industria do telhado ecológico em mercados emergentes.
2. Facilitar o intercâmbio de informações tecnicas, cientificas social e econômicas entre pesquisadores, políticos, designers e fabricantes.
3. Reivindicar por politicas e investimentos de organizações internacionais como Banco Mundial, Programa Ambiental das Nações Unidas, etc.
4. Auxiliar atividades de associações nacionais existentes em lobby, politica e treinamento com foco em promover exelência através das melhores práticas e eventos promocionais conjuntos.
