Activity 10: Food on Roofs


Rice, vegetables and fruits can grow on roofs or facades. Community garden on roofs are a new opportunity to develop green roofs and living wall technology. There are old examples from the beginning 20th Century. New forms of community gardens are coming up in the USA, Thailand and in many other countries.

This is multi function: using roof spaces and to connect people in neighbourhoods.
